These terms govern your use of Unfade at tryunfade.com. By using the service, you agree to them. Please read them alongside our privacy policy.

The service

Unfade restores and colorizes old photos. You upload a photo, we produce a restored version, you preview a watermarked result for free, and you can purchase the full-resolution file without the watermark for $14.99 per photo.

Your photos and your rights

• You must own the photo you upload, or otherwise have the right and permission to use and restore it. Do not upload images that infringe someone else's rights or that you are not allowed to use.
• You keep ownership of your original photo and of the restored result.
• You grant us a limited license to store and process your photo solely to provide the service (to restore it and deliver it back to you).

Acceptable use

Do not use Unfade to:

• upload unlawful content, including any sexual content involving minors, or content that is harassing, hateful, or infringing;
• impersonate others or misrepresent a restored image as an unaltered original;
• abuse, overload, probe, or attempt to reverse engineer or disrupt the service.

Prices and payment

The price is $14.99 per restored photo, charged once, through Stripe. We may change prices in the future; the price shown at checkout is the price you pay. You preview the watermarked result before you decide to buy, and the full-resolution file is delivered immediately after payment.

Refunds

Because you can preview the result before purchasing and delivery is immediate, purchases are generally final. If something goes wrong, for example you did not receive your file or it failed to download, contact us and we will make it right.

About the restoration

The restoration is produced by automated image-processing technology and is a best-effort interpretation of your original. Colors, details, and other elements are approximations and may not exactly match the original photo or historical reality. The result is provided for your personal use.

Service provided "as is"

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, or that a restoration will meet your expectations.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Unfade will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the photo in question.

Changes and termination

We may update the service and these terms over time; we will change the "last updated" date when we do, and continued use means you accept the change. We may suspend or end access for anyone who misuses the service.
